Sleeping as usual

Until you stop

Your Mac keeps working with the lid shut. No external display needed.

Normally a Mac laptop goes to sleep the moment you close it. With Closed lid on, the screen turns off and your Mac carries on with whatever it was doing. Slip it under your arm, walk to the meeting, and the work is still running when you open it again.

  • Works on battery or plugged in
  • Sets itself up the first time, with one password prompt
  • Puts sleep back the way it was the moment you stop

Common questions

FAQ

What is Pulsida?

Pulsida is a small menu bar app for Mac that keeps your Mac awake, with or without the display on, and keeps it working even with the lid closed.

Does Pulsida really work with the lid closed?

Yes. Turn on Closed lid and close your Mac. The screen turns off and your Mac keeps working, with no external display needed.

Why does Pulsida ask for my password?

Keeping a Mac awake with the lid closed needs permission from an administrator. Pulsida asks once, the first time you turn on Closed lid, and never again.

What if my battery runs low?

On battery with the lid closed, Pulsida turns closed-lid mode off at 10% and sends you a notification.

Does Pulsida collect any data?

No analytics, no tracking and no accounts. Pulsida only checks your license and looks for updates.

How much does Pulsida cost?

$9, once. No subscription.

Let your Mac finish the job. Even after you close the lid.
